Developer Hardsuit Labs is no longer leading development on Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2. This news goes hand in hand with word that the game is no longer going to be released in 2021.

This news was first revealed by the game's publisher, Paradox Interactive, during their 2020 year-end report. Paradox says that they have "started a collaboration with a new studio partner to finish work on the game." Additional word came from a statement issued by the Bloodlines 2 Twitter account.

Paradox says that "a change is needed" in order to meet their internal goals for the game. Paradox did thank Hardsuit Labs for their work on the game up until this point.

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 was slated to be released in early 2020. It was then postponed to a late 2020 release and then later delayed again until 2021. Obviously, this latest delay pushes the game out of a 2021 release. The game has also encountered issues with staff leaving or being dropped from the project. This includes the loss of the Narrative leads, Creative Director, and the game's Senior Narrative Designer.

Pre-orders for the game have been temporary halted due to the change of developers and an inability to really nail down a release date. So far, the development studio taking over for Hardsuit Labs has not yet been revealed.
