Ubisoft Pulls Licenses for The Crew, Makes the Game Completely Inaccessible to Buyers

From the same company trying to sell you a $130 version of Star Wars Outlaws.

From announcing a $130 edition of Star Wars Outlaws to pulling game licenses from those that bought The Crew, Ubisoft sure is on a roll this week.

The Crew was Ubisoft's open-world racing game that was pulled from sale back in December 2023. As of March 31, 2024, Ubisoft shut down the online servers for The Crew. This effectively made the game unplayable across all platforms, including: PC,...

It may have taken almost two years, but we are now starting to see some of the documents that...

Verdansk will have some competition when the new Call of Duty releases later this year.

It appears as though Call of Duty Warzone will finally get a fresh map for players to dive into. When Call of Duty: Vanguard launches later in 2021 it will ship with a single player campaign, traditional multiplayer, and Zombies modes set in European and Pacific theaters of World War II.

According to VGC, this new Call of Duty release will also include a significant tie-in to the ever...

Over 350,000 Racist and Toxic Accounts Banned from Call of Duty in Past Year

    Maybe just stop being racist?

Activision provided an update today about how they are continuing to combat toxic behavior and racist names in Call of Duty. Over the past 12 months, the studio says that they have banned over 350,000 accounts from Call of Duty: Warzone, Black Ops Cold War, Modern Warfare, and Call of Duty: Mobile. These bans are in addition to their ever ongoing efforts to catch and ban cheaters.

These are the accounts that have been banned just for having...

It's an '80s action hero party and at least two people are invited.

Beginning May 19, the world of Call of Duty: Warzone and Call of Duty: Black Ops - Cold War will get a little more action-y. It is on this date that John McClane from Die Hard and Rambo from his self-entitled autobiography will begin to make their debut in the game.

Sledgehammer Confirmed as Call of Duty 2021 Developer

This year's release will feature a campaign, multiplayer, and co-op.

It's a new year (relatively) and that means a new Call of Duty is in the works. Though there are several rumors circling about this year's release, there is one thing that we know for certain: Sledgehammer Games is the developer for this year's release. Activision made the confirmation just a short time ago today during the Activision-Blizzard Q1 earnings call.

Activision says that the game is "looking...

Toys for Bob is now working on Warzone.

Toys for Bob, the studio that brought us the fantastic Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time, is now working on the Call of Duty franchise. Specifically, they are now a support studio for Call of Duty: Warzone, the free-to-play battle royale game that just recently surpassed 100 million players.

The studio made the announcement last night on Twitter. They say that "Toys for Bob is proud to support development for Season 3 of Call...

Latest Warzone Update Fixes Verdansk '84 Exploit

The map of Verdansk has literally been patched up in this update.

It was only yesterday that we shared news about a map exploit that was making the rounds in Call of Duty: Warzone matches. Players were able to get below the map of Verdansk '84 and kill other players without being seen and being free from danger. Today, that exploit has apparently been patched out of the game through a small update that went out to players.

Also included in today's update is a change to...

Fix is Coming Soon for New Verdansk Map Exploit in Warzone

    New map, same old problems.

Call of Duty: Warzone and exploits. Name a more iconic duo. The latest one involves an exploit with the new map, Verdansk '84. It seems as though players have found a way to reach areas of the map that are not normally accessible during typical play.

Specifically, players are able to clip through parts of the map and walk underneath the map. This obviously allows them to kill enemies without ever being seen or detected.

    Raven Software...

Verdansk Will Never be the Same Again in Warzone

Activision says the break from the Verdansk you knew is a permanent one.

Following yesterday's big nuclear event, the iconic Call of Duty: Warzone map of Verdansk will forever be changed. The rumors ended up coming true and at the start of Season 3 today, Warzone has gone back in time to 1984. The "new" map introduced today in Warzone is a 1984 version of Verdansk complete with modified landmarks but still roughly the same layout as the "modern" location that fans...

  • Call of Duty: Warzone was Nuked

Call of Duty: Warzone was Nuked

    We knew it was coming.

The end of the second season of content for Call of Duty: Warzone came not with a bang but with a really big bang. Nuclear bombs have gone off across the current iteration of the Verdansk map, but many players have apparently been left out in the cold, aka: a login queue.

Verdansk began to be nuked around 12PM (PT) today. This began with a 100-player survival against player-controlled zombies. From there, the event wrapped up with a cutscene that...

    Warzone Surpasses 100 Million Players

But how many of those players are returning cheaters?

With just one day left before a big nuclear event hits Verdansk, Activision announces that Call of Duty: Warzone has surpassed 100 million players. That's a lot of players for the ever growing battle royale genre. It's also the second battle royale game in about a week to hit the 100 million player milestone. Apex Legends hit that milestone just this past week.

Hitting 100 million players comes about a year after the...

And even more if you have Cold War installed.

Activision just released a little look at what is coming later this week to Call of Duty: Warzone and Call of Duty: Black Ops - Cold War. Details were kind of sparse as far as Warzone is concerned, but there was a lot to share for Cold War. We at least know just how big the updates will be across all platforms, so let's take a look at those first. ...

Warzone Players are Returning to Battle as Zombies

The green gas is turning players into undead hunters.

As Season 3 for Call of Duty: Warzone approaches, some big happenings are beginning to take place around the map. After an update released this morning, there are zones that are now marked as toxic that will turn players into zombies when they die there.

Areas like Shipwreck and the Prison are now marked with the nuclear symbol. You can also tell you're in one of these affected areas by the "white flecks"...

Call of Duty: Warzone Bans Near Half a Million Accounts

Activision has repeat offenders in their sights.

Since its release, Activision has banned over 475,000 Call of Duty: Warzone accounts due to cheating. This massive figure was revealed today during their anti-cheat progress report. Activision also notes that their security and enforcement teams issue daily bans to individual offenses or repeat...

Nukes are Launching in Call of Duty: Warzone Two Weeks Ahead of Schedule

But their impact leaves a lot to be desired.

Nukes are already launching in Call of Duty: Warzone despite the event not supposed to occur for about two weeks from now. Some players have already seen the missiles flying and landing early, but they come not with a bang but with a tepid whimper. A Redditor, AmedeeO10, noticed the missiles flying through the air during a match of King Slayer Trios.

Though the nukes were flying through the air, quite frequently at that, their...
