Based on your input, we’ve put together 3 map concepts in which we'll combine the high level framework, setting (jungle), and several of the top voted for Points of Interests. We now want you to decide on which of these concepts you think we should pursue and take into production!
Without further ado, here are your three options:
CONCEPT A
China rallies to stop insurgents transporting weapons and supplies through the Burmese jungle river networks. US moves in to protect their interests.
CONCEPT B
With the Chinese-American war nearly at an end, some of China’s allies have remained reluctant to turn over NATO POWs to their home countries. US are forced to react.
CONCEPT C
Indonesian radicals have developed a new strain of virus for chemical warfare. A conflict flares up over access to samples and research data.

Out of the three, I feel it would be the most active with vehicle and infantry in mind.
Map A looks really vehicle focused only and really U shaped. It will make for some good flanking, I suppose, but a lot of the map is going to be sitting there not doing anything.
map C seems very straight line linear like Metro, Zavod, Locker, etc... Whatever team holds C first and the longest will win. If there are attack boats going along the river on it, that might be enough to stop that from happening, but they will be sitting ducks some.
I don't like the US placement on B though. It's asking to get raped once China takes D E and B. Actually I think if China took D and B, that would be enough to block out the US side.
I know these are just top down views and nothing final or actually seen and played, but I don't like any of these layouts the way they are. I could be wrong, but I like to think that after as many maps as I have played over the years, I can tell where the problems are going to be. Vehicle placement and elevation could make a big difference, but I still see issues even when putting vehicles in play.
A = Too much water.
C = Too linear. Also reminded me far too much of Zavod 311 in its layout of the points.
Agreeing with you, I mostly dislike the three shown maps, and would rather pick from something else.
IF it would be B though, I'm hoping those big ruins and temple(or whatever?) in the middle of the map would be destructible, and not like in BFBC2 vietnam where they are protected by the gods from any harm
But overall I am glad to see this kind of experiment for Battlefield 4. I'm naively hoping we'll get a full year of extended support out of this.
