  • New Poster and Details for Kojima's PlayStation Exclusive Tactical Espionage Game Physint

Don't expect to see much on this until closer to 2030.
A special agent figure cloaked in shadow.

The Kojima Productions 10th anniversary event in Japan offered up a few small details about Physint, the studio's upcoming "action espionage" title. Physint was announced back in January 2024 as an upcoming PlayStation exclusive title from Kojima Productions. That is basically all that we've heard about the game until this recent event.

During the Kojima Productions: Beyond the Strand event, Kojima said that development on Physint was only just starting. He says that he's working by himself on concepts for characters and is thinking about casting, noting that "it's just the start."

The top priority for Kojima Productions in the here and now is OD for Xbox Game Studios. With Physint being in the absolute earliest stages of development, Kojima feels that the game won't be out for "another five or six years." At best, this would push Physint's release into the late 2030 realm.

Still, despite the early development stage, Kojima did reveal three actors that will appear in Physint. Those actors are: Charlee Fraser (Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga), Don Lee (Eternals), and Minami Hamabe (Godzilla Minus One). What characters they will be playing is anybody's guess at this point.

One major character, that that was shown off but still not fully revealed, is the game's main character. We instead were treated to a poster that shows the game's title, the tagline of "Here Comes the Feeling," and a man mostly cloaked in shadow.

Fans have already started to speculate about who the actor is that Kojima pulled to play the main protagonist in Physint. Based purely on the released poster, fans think that the main character is played by either Robert Pattinson (Twilight, The Batman) or Eddie Redmayne (The Day of the Jackal, Les Misérables).

      ASUS Reveals Kojima Productions Collaboration
      by Shawn Zipay
A white desk mat though? That's a dangerous game there.

Game developer Hideo Kojima is partnering with Asus for a new, branded line of ASUS ROG PC gear. Well, Kojima himself isn't directly partnering with Asus. His studio, Kojima Productions, is partnering with Asus. Also, the gear from Asus won't feature Kojima's face but will instead incorporate the "Ludens" design that Kojima Productions is kind of known for (the skeleton man in the space suit).

The trailer for OD is about as vague and as cryptic as a Hideo Kojima trailer could be. We got a look at several different faces all speaking...

According to sources familiar with the parties involved, it appears as though Hideo Kojima will part ways with Konami after the release of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.
