Epic Games just revealed that they are adding in Elon Musk's dumbass Tesla Cybertruck to Fortnite in the game's next update. According to official Fortnite messaging, that update is expected to arrive on Tuesday, July 23 in the early morning hours.
Adding in a vehicle that couldn't survive a brick in its debut showing is most certainly a choice. It also seems rather disgusting from a moral standpoint to support anything associated with Elon Musk given his disgusting views that he is more than willing to share with the world. As one Reddit user puts it, "Fortnite clearly doesn't care anymore and are fully invested in this 'metaverse' to the point where they are willing to abandon all morals just for a quick cash grab." If nothing else, the videos showing Fortnite players blowing these stupid things up in game will be a delight.
The actual performance of the in-game Cybertruck will undoubtedly be leagues better than the real Cybertruck. Of course, it's not all that difficult to do given the Cybertruck's track record. The real world Cybertruck can barely handle off-road environments, can't run that long in cold conditions, features misaligned panels, launched with a malfunctioning accelerator pedal, has issues with the wiper motor, can't handle a simple car wash (unless you engage a specific Car Wash Mode), and so on.
Really, it seems like the only issue that the Cybertruck hasn't encountered (yet) is a tendency to randomly blow up. That feature is apparently exclusive to other Tesla models.
The Cybertruck was designed at Tesla, a company owned by Elon Musk. Musk, being the same person that has vowed to donate $45 million per month to presidential candidate, convicted felon, and close friend of Jeffrey Epstein, Donald Trump. Musk has also directly endorsed and/or flatly made antisemitic comments on Twitter. He has also made numerous racist remarks. He has also removed a policy at Twitter that prohibited targeted misgendering and deadnaming of transgender users. Musk also directly engaged in hate speech against transgender persons when he promoted and then pinned a link to a controversial documentary that many have labeled as hate speech.
Musk has also promoted countless conspiracy theories on Twitter over the past several years. These conspiracy theories include, but are not limited to: Covid vaccine lies, an antisemitic conspiracy theory that claims "Jews are 'pushing hatred' against white people," promotion of the long debunked Pizzagate conspiracy, suggesting Paul Pelosi was attacked due to a fight with a male prostitute, and more.
Twitter, the platform that Musk has owned since 2022, has become a safe haven for extremism, racism, bigotry, transphobia, hate speech, and conspiracy theories with no basis in reality. Musk regularly replies to and retweets all of this to his gullible audience of like-minded shitheads, many of which pay upwards of $16 per month for the privilege of having their hate speech appear at the top of replies. A significant number of Twitter's Trust and Safety team were either let go from the company in late 2022 or resigned on their own accord shortly after.

Fuck Musk.
Fuck Epic Games for this.
