  • Fortnite Chapter 2 Offers Big Changes for Battle Royale and Very Little for Save the World

Black hole sun, won't you come...

Thousands of people watched a mysterious black hole where Fortnite once stood. Literally. It was the top watched "game" on Twitch the past few days and it was literally nothing but a glorified screensaver. You could not play Fortnite at all. There was no Battle Royale. There was no Save the World. There was nothing. There were some random numbers at times, but who really cares.

All of that nothingness has led to today's launch of Fortnite Chapter 2. This is still a free download for the PlayStation...

Epic Responds to Complaints About Fortnite Cross-Platform Play

Developer will continue with their plans despite fan complaints.

Cross-platform play seems to be all the rage these days and it's only going to keep gaining support as time goes on. However, it seems as though some fans of the still popular battle royale game, Fortnite, aren't too keen on the idea.

A recent change to the game introduced skill-based matchmaking. This is a system that tries to put players of similar skill together in the same match. Players noticed that with this new system they were being pitted against players across different...

Epic Nerfs Giant Mechs in Fortnite

Taking a nerf bat to the mech that everyone hates.

The new, giant mechs in the latest Fortnite season aren't winning too many fans over. In fact, some people outright despise the mech and other changes that came about in Season 10. Epic hasn't backed down from keeping them in the game (for now), but they did make some nerfs to the way that mech, called B.R.U.T.E., operates. Perhaps Respawn had the right idea when they decided not to include the Titans in Apex Legends.

Another big nerf comes to the Junk Rift. In short: Epic has temporarily disabled...

Two-Day Fortnite Summer Block Party 2019 Event Announced

You can meet other Fortnite players. Yay?

Epic Games announced the Fortnite Summer Block Party today. This two-day event will have Fortnite fans coming together to meet various "celebrities" and to meet up with other Fortnite fans. Is that something Fortnite players want to do? PvP games aren't exactly known for having tight-knit communities.

    But alas, here we are.

If nothing else, event goers will get to see and maybe even get within 20 feet of people like Ninja, Brendon Urie of Taylor Swift's new ME! video (and Panic!...

How to Stay Safe When Playing Online Games

No matter who you are or how old you may be, you run the very real risk of exposing yourself online. No, I do not mean it that way, so get your minds out of the gutters.

No, we are instead referring to the fact that whenever you are connected to the Internet, be it browsing a website or playing your favorite online game like Fortnite or Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, you are exposed to a huge number of nefarious actors that could potentially spy on you. People you do not know or even want to know could find out information about your browsing habits....

    Fortnite Season 8 Promotes Piracy

The eighth season of content for Fortnite went live earlier today. Get your sails ready, your peg leg waxed up, and your hook sharpened because Fortnite Season 8 is all about the pirates life for me.

But wait, there's more! Who is a pirate's greatest nemesis? If you answered scurvy, you'd be wrong! It's ninjas! Unlike some ninjas, these probably don't have blue hair. I guess Epic is trying to pull back in that Sea of Thieves crowd on Twitch? There's also some stuff about a giant volcano, a freed Prisoner, treasure, cannons, and Volcanic Vents that...

Epic Games Suing Fortnite Live Event Organizers

This past weekend, a little Fortnite themed event was held in Norwich. The event, called Fortnite Live, charged event-goers around $20 (USD) to enter the event that included a whopping four go-karts, a climbing wall, and areas to play Fortnite.

From multiple accounts, the event was a rather large disaster. The various activities were severely lacking. People had to wait in line in the cold just to get in. In total, around 2,800 people attended the event in which they were mainly charged a lofty fee just to play Fortnite, a free-to-play game. Shortly...

Titanfall 3 is Not in Development, Confirms Respawn

Questions about the "true" future of the Titanfall franchise were raised beginning this past weekend when we first caught wind of Apex Legends, the latest game from Respawn Entertainment and the latest title to be set in the Titanfall universe. One of the biggest questions was whether or not Apex Legends, a newly released and free-to-play battle royale title, was a phoenix rising from the ashes of Titanfall 3 or if Titanfall 3 was still coming.

Sadly, it's not great news. Respawn Entertainment confirmed that Apex Legends is all there is right...

Epic Games Reportedly Launching Mobile App Store Next

First, Epic came for Steam on the PC front. They threw piles of cash at studios to put their games on the Epic Games Store for a period of exclusivity that lasts at least one year or more. Now, Epic may be going after that sweet, sweet mobile industry by launching their own mobile games store.

This is according to a new report from MarketWatch.

MarketWatch goes on to say that Epic will once again allow devs to keep 88% of earned revenues. This is in comparison to the 70% that Apple and Google allow for.

    Will...
