Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is now available for PlayStation 5 owners today. Rebirth continues the story that began in 2020's Final Fantasy 7 Remake, featuring a story that somewhat follows closely to the original 1997 Final Fantasy 7 release.
Players will again assume control of the mercenary Cloud Strife and his partners in arms as they go after Sephiroth, "a haunting figure from Cloud's past bent on ruling the planet." Players will explore a myriad of new locations alongside new and returning characters such as Tifa, Barret, Aerith, Red XIII, Yuffie, and Cait Sith.

For those of you unable to pick up Rebirth or are still undecided about picking up Rebirth, there are a couple of options. First, it does seem very likely that Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth will be coming to the PC at some point in the future. The exclusivity window for Rebirth on PlayStation 5 ends May 29, 2024, but that does not mean it will hit other platforms immediately after. Alternatively, there is also a demo available for Rebirth on the PlayStation 5. This demo was recently updated with some visual improvements along with some additional content.
