A rather lengthy demo for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth came out on February 6. While this demo already included a pretty decent amount of content, Square Enix said that they planned to add even more content on February 21st. That update would include some Junon-focused content.

Today, Square Enix announced that when that Junon content is added to the demo on the 21st, they will also be making some improvements. Specifically, they say that there will be visual quality improvements made to the demo, specifically when selecting the "Performance Mode" from the graphical options.

Players who have tried the demo voiced their disappointment with a few aspects of the game's visuals. Among those complaints were issues with the image being softer than expected, textures (especially some environmental assets) being low resolution, and bizarre lighting in some scenes. Exact details on what visual improvements are being made to the demo's Performance Mode were not shared just yet.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth will be out on February 29, 2024 as a timed-exclusive on PlayStation 5.
