CD Projekt Red announced that they will release Update 2.1 for Cyberpunk 2077 on December 5. This update isn't just some bug fix update either.

CD Projekt Red will add several new additions to the game, including a city-wide fully functional NCART metro system. This new mode of transportation is billed as a more relaxed way to move about the city. It will allow players to take in the sights of Night City without also partaking of all of Night City's dangers.

Also coming in Update 2.1 is a new "Radioport" feature that will let you take the radio songs out of the car. You will be able to listen to listen to the in-game songs on the radio while on foot thanks to this Walkman of the future.

Romantic encounters in Update 2.1 are also getting a bit of an upgrade. There will be new hangouts you can visit with your romantic partners. For instance, you will be able to invite your in-game partners to V's apartment to "enjoy some quality time."

Update 2.1 will also add additional chases, replayable car races with additional rewards and discounts, and boss fight improvements (especially against Adam Smasher). There are also new cars coming in the update, including the Porsche 911 Cabriolet. There are new motorcycles with upgraded handling and new riding mechanics. Some accessibility features are getting improved such as a larger interface font option and the ability to disable timers on the Breach Protocol minigame. CD Projekt Red also says that there will also be "new secrets to discover.

Naturally, this Update 2.1 update is free to everyone that owns Cyberpunk 2077. It's also free to those that purchase the upcoming physical release of the game, also available on December 5.

Ahead of this release, CD Projekt Red is kicking off a series of videos called the Night City Archives. These videos will give players some better insight into the history of Night City itself.
