  • EA Quietly Announces UFC 5

The MMA focused franchise is apparently coming back.

EA rather quietly announced that they are bringing back their UFC games. The mixed martial arts will return with UFC 5, which was announced in a super basic announcement through Twitter earlier today.

The tweet says "Coming soon" and notes that there will be a full reveal of the game coming this September.

The first game based off of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) brand came about in 2014 with EA Sports UFC. This first UFC title from EA hit the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles, later arriving on iOS and Android in 2015.

The most recent title was EA Sports UFC 4, which hit PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in August 2020. Since that release, EA has been rather quiet on anything new for the franchise for the past three years. It's too early to say just yet which platforms UFC 5 might end up on, but I'd say that PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S are rather safe bets.

        Twitter is Finally Dead
        by Shawn Zipay
It's apparently been replaced by a unicode character.

The good news here is that Twitter is finally dead! The bad news is that it's only because Elon Musk is rebranding Twitter to X. Or to be more specific, it's 𝕏. That is to say, it's simply the unicode character U+1D54F. Yes, Musk and cohorts continue to take what already existed instead of creating something new themselves.

The change comes because Musk is apparently the biggest fan of the letter "X",...

Fortnite is Adding a Shitty Truck in New Update
        by Shawn Zipay
A shitty car designed by a shittier human.

Epic Games just revealed that they are adding in Elon Musk's dumbass Tesla Cybertruck to Fortnite in the game's next update. According to official Fortnite messaging, that update is expected to arrive on Tuesday, July 23 in the early morning hours.

Adding in a vehicle that couldn't survive a brick in its debut showing is most certainly a choice. It also seems rather disgusting from a moral standpoint to support anything associated...

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg Wants to Create an AI Clone of Himself to Attend Meetings
        by Shawn Zipay
        God, the future fucking sucks.

Totally normal and real "human" Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg is reportedly trying to make an AI clone of himself in order to attend meetings. According to The Verge (citing The Financial Times) Meta is training a unique AI on Zuckerberg's image, voice, mannerisms, tone, and public statements in order to let employees "feel more connected to the founder through interactions with it."

Hahahaha, oh man. What are we doing? This...

Tim Sweeney Should Really Just Shut Up
        by Shawn Zipay
Sweeney doubles down on defending Twitter and Grok in wake of the AI generating CSAM.

For reasons known only to God and Tim Sweeney, the Epic Games CEO felt compelled to offer his two cents on the current issues with Twitter's AI bot, Grok. Grok being the generative AI that is still modifying and creating sexually explicit images of others, mainly women and children. Many of these created images by Grok sexually depict women and children being "sexually abused, humiliated, hurt...
