The launch trailer for Crisis Core Final Fantasy 7 Reunion, or CRISIS CORE -FINAL FANTASY VII- REUNION as Square Enix's press release shouts at me, is now available today. This launch trailer for this Crisis Core remaster shows off a little bit more of what fans can expect from this upcoming release.
For those who haven't played Crisis Core before, there's going to be a lot of new and interesting stuff here that will give you a ton of backstory for the events in Final Fantasy 7 proper. Even for those that have played the original game on the PlayStation Portable, this release offers a good number of improvements and changes that it's probably going to feel like a fresh, new experience.
The story of CRISIS CORE –FINAL FANTASY VII– REUNION begins seven years before the events of FINAL FANTASY VII and follows Zack Fair, a young Shinra SOLDIER operative. As his adventure unfolds, he discovers the dark secrets of Shinra’s experiments and the monsters they create.
The Digital Deluxe Edition of Crisis Core also includes a mini soundtrack and a digital art book.
Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 Reunion is a remaster of a game that came out some 15 years back on Sony's PlayStation Portable handheld. This release features a "complete" HD visual overhaul, newly arranged soundtrack, fully voiced dialogue in both English and Japanese, plus an updated combat system.
Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 Reunion is out on December 13, 2022 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
