You can still play these old Ubisoft games, at least for now.

In July, Ubisoft updated their list of decommissioned games to add 15 titles that would soon have their online services turned off. At the time, it was also said that access to several pieces of downloadable content would no longer be accessible by players. There was also a worry that at least one game, Assassin's Creed Liberation HD wouldn't be accessible at all, but Ubisoft made a correction on that one to say the game would still be accessible by owners.

With just one day left to go before those online services were turned off, Ubisoft has reversed their decision and now says that they are postponing their shutdown plans. The games that were supposed to be decommissioned on September 1 include the following:
  • Anno 2070
  • Assassin's Creed II
  • Assassin's Creed 3 (2012 release)
  • Assassin's Creed Brotherhood
  • Assassin's Creed Liberation HD
  • Assassin's Creed Revelations
  • Driver San Francisco
  • Far Cry 3 (2012 release)
  • Ghost Recon Future Soldier
  • Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands
  • Rayman Legends
  • Silent Hunter 5
  • Space Junkies
  • Splinter Cell: Blacklist
  • ZomiU
Though Ubisoft has postponed the shutdown plans, it won't be long until the online services are turned off. This postponing only moves the decommission date from September 1 to October 1 for nearly all of the above games. So, just one more month to go. Ubisoft says that you should activate and download the DLC on PC prior to October 1 for games like Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, Assassin's Creed 3, Far Cry 3, and Splinter Cell Blacklist.

Oddly enough, there is one game that will still be shut down on September 1. That game is Space Junkies.

Ubisoft Mainz has actually taken matters into their own hands and have a team working on an update to Anno 2070 that will upgrade the game and replace its old online services. Once fully implemented, this upgrade will allow players to continue playing without any loss of features or functionality.
