An animator on the project shuts down the notion that the remake is just to earn a quick buck.
The Last of Us Part 1

Robert Morrison, an animator that worked on The Last of Us Part 1 remake isn't taking too kindly to the idea that Naughty Dog's upcoming remake is "just a cash grab." Morrison says that the remake has had "the highest level of care and attention to detail" included in it.

Morrison previously worked on games like 2018's God of War, Resident Evil 7, and Injustice 2 so he probably knows a thing or two about what it takes to create a high-quality game.

The Last of Us Part 1 is a remake of the original 2013 PlayStation 3 game. It is set to include updated animations, 60FPS support, and both updated combat and enemy A.I. that is based off of the systems in The Last of Us Part 2.

By far, the biggest complaint about this remake is the fact that it's being sold for $70 (USD). This places the remake at the same price point as a completely original new release on PlayStation 5.

To many, it doesn't help matters that this is now the third time The Last of Us has been released. There is the original 2013 PlayStation 3 release, then came the 2014 remastered release on PlayStation 4, and now the remake is coming to the PlayStation 5 this September.
