It sucked! I was largely disappointed by every show and reveal. It didn't meet my expectations.

I didn't watch or I have no idea what shows were actually a part of Summer Game Fest or their own thing.

Did Keighley's summer game jamboree 2022 impress you?

With the Summer Game Fest 2022 essentially being over (save for some Multiversus thing on the 21st), it's time to ask you: What'd you think of it?

Did the announcements and reveals exceed your expectations? Or did the reveals drastically under-deliver this year? Maybe what was shown off completely matched your expectations, be they high or low expectations to begin with. Hell, maybe you just want the old E3 back with weekend showcases from Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo, Konami, Ubisoft, and others.

One thing is for sure: It was at least nice of this year's Summer Game Fest to not have events spread out over the entirety of the month.

I'm making this one a multiple-choice poll. Feel free to select a couple of options that may apply to you and share your thoughts in the comments below!

I'm gonna be honest here: I don't even know what all was considered an official part of Summer Game Fest and what was just their own thing after the actual Summer Game Fest showcase aired. Was the State of Play also a part of it? Capcom's showcase? I don't know. It often feels like Keighley and the SGF site just tosses anything and everything up on their site that happens in a span of a few weeks in June.

I had basically no expectations for the show. I enjoyed some of the reveals from some of the separate shows but I had no expectations going into it.

Still, I really miss old E3. I miss the weekend of pre-E3 showcases from Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo, Ubisoft, Konami, and whatever else. It was chaotic but it was like a 2-3 feast of just constant announcements and reveals. These current events spread out over a period of a couple of weeks just isn't doing it for me. It makes my job a bit easier, sure but... I miss old E3 and I'm kind of sad that is never coming back. E3 will obviously return but not like it used to be.

The whole thing was too nebulous to be that memorable, so I'll go with Callisto Protocol.

...Did we just vote on nearly every possible option? Oh and the only event that entertained me was the Devolver Digital Marketing Countdown to Marketing. I actually like the games they showed (Card Shark in particular).

Geoff Keighley's Summer Game Fest Announced by Geoff Keighley
    by Shawn Zipay
You all ready for four months of Geoff Keighley?

The Summer of Keighley is nearly upon us. I assume that is the alternate name that was being shopped around before they actually decided on the "Summer Game Fest." This whole thing is being labeled an "all-digital consumer celebration." The Summer Game Fest will bring fans "a season of breaking news, in-game events, and free playable content" from a variety of developers, publishers, and platform owners....

Master of Hype Geoff Keighley Says to Not Get Too Hyped for Summer Game Fest
    by Shawn Zipay
The event will mainly focus on already announced games.

If you were looking for the Summer Game Fest to come out swinging with announcements like Bloodborne 2 or Bloodborne on PC or even Bloodborne Kart Racer, you may be severely disappointed. The master of hype himself, Geoff Keighley, has come out to say that the Summer Game Fest will be "primarily focused" on games that were already announced.

And when Keighley is saying to keep those expectations in check,...
