The publishing arm of Tripwire Interactive, Tripwire Presents, has partnered with Sweet Bandits Studios to release the upcoming multiplayer espionage game, Deceive Inc. Sweet Bandits is an indie studio based in Quebec and is made up of developers coming from studios like Beenox, Ubisoft, Gearbox, and Frima.
Deceive Inc. will be the studio's second game ever released. It's currently aiming to be released on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, and the Xbox Series X|S in early 2023.
The game has a fairly familiar premise. You go in as an undercover agent at a "private corporation with complete monopoly over the international espionage market." You are able to disguise yourself as whomever you want to, utilize all sorts of hi-tech gadgets, and use social deception to trick the other players. Your goal is to blend in, get to the objective, and then make it out alive. Only one person can win and everyone is after the same objective as you.
