Forza Horizon 5 came out on November 8th to a ton of praise from critics and players alike. It's a fantastic game and it's proving to be a very popular one at that. It should come as no surprise then to hear that Forza Horizon 5 is the biggest launch in Xbox history. So far, over 10 million players have logged in to the game to race around the vast areas of Mexico.

The game has seen a substantial and gradual increase in players since its launch on November 9. Within 24 hours of its launch, Forza Horizon 5 had three times as many concurrent players as Forza Horizon 4's all-time concurrent high. On November 18, the official Forza Twitter let everyone know that their latest title has become the biggest first week launch in the history of Xbox.

This milestone places it ahead of other massive Microsoft franchises like Halo, Gears of War, and other Forza titles. The fact that Forza Horizon 5 hit the 10 million player milestone as quickly as it has also means that it's one of 2021's most popular titles across all platforms.

Forza Horizon 5's massive launch had a few factors working in its favor. It released on the Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC via both the Microsoft Store and Steam, and was also released to Xbox Game Pass for both Xbox and PC platforms. No matter how you slice it though, it seems as though Microsoft is having a hell of a couple of weeks. Between Forza Horizon 5's massive launch to the surprise early release of the largely enjoyable Halo Infinite multiplayer.
