This weekend, from July 24 to July 27, an open crossplay-enabled playtest will take place for Hell Let Loose: Vietnam. This playtest will be freely available to players on PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, and Steam.

This specific test will take place on a new map not seen in previous tests. The Battle of Đắk Tô is "an attack on a key US airfield base and surrounding hilltop fortifications in the central highlands of South Vietnam." The map features a long airstrip which is perfect for armored vehicles and recon units to wage war on. "Impact craters and destroyed vehicles are strewn along the runway," which should provide good cover for any infantry brave enough to jump right into the middle of a fight.

The areas around the airfield are thinned out jungle areas. As there are fewer trees here than in a typical jungle, players will need to use teamwork and communication to win.

Instructions on how to join the open playtest can be found below. The playtest information was shared as part of the first developer Q&A, which I've also included below for your viewing pleasure.

    Steam
On Steam, head to the Hell Let Loose: Vietnam store page. Upon the playtest going live, a button will appear which will allow you to 'request access' to the playtest. Simply select this, download the playtest app, and join the test.

    PS5 and XBOX
To take part, simply search for the ‘Hell Let Loose: Vietnam Playtest’ application on either the PlayStation or XBOX store once the playtest goes live, download the app, and jump into the action.

Please note that an active PS+ or Xbox Game Pass Essential subscription is required to join the test.
