If you are one of the billions of people out there who have not yet picked up Watch Dogs: Legion, you will have a chance to try it before you buy it. This coming weekend, anybody with an Ubisoft account will be able to download and play a portion of Watch Dogs Legion. Afterwards, as is common with free weekends, you will be able to purchase the game at a steep discount.

All of this kicks off beginning tomorrow, March 25. From then through to March 29, Ubisoft is making Watch Dogs Legion free to everyone. Specifically, the weekend begins at 9AM (PT) on the 25th and ends at 7AM (PT) on the 29th. Preloading of Legion is actually live right now through the Epic Games Store (affiliate) and the Uplay client, or "Ubisoft Connect" if you're feeling frisky. Those on PlayStation and Xbox platforms will also get to enjoy this free weekend same as PC users. Those on the Xbox platform will not get a chance to pre-load the content.

Any progress you make during the free weekend will be transferable to the full game should you decide to purchase it during this weekend event. On top of that, the game will be on sale for up to 67% off of its regular price, at least if you're purchasing from Ubisoft directly. The Season Pass is also on sale during this time.

The free weekend will allow you to access just half of the game's eight boroughs. Progress through the story will halt after the "Skye Larsen" mission. I don't know the game, so I have no idea just how much content that includes. All open-world activities will be open for free players to enjoy. These include side activities like playing darts and fighting.

The multiplayer component for Watch Dogs: Legion was just recently released across all platforms.
