Cyanide and NACON just released Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Earthblood to the public. They're calling this a "brutal beat'em up set in the World of Darkness." This game is now available on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via the Epic Games Store (affiliate link).
You play through the game as Cahal, a werewolf, or Garou, a man from the Fianna tribe. Garou is forced to go into exile after losing control of his rage. I guess they don't look too kindly on werewolves in that tribe, which is pretty understandable. Problem is, his former tribe is now in "mortal danger" and it's up to him to fight and save his family and Gaia, mother Earth, from Endron International.
Endron International being the bad guys in this case. They are a "multinational oil corporation" that is "relentlessly ravaging the planet's resources and leaving despair wherever it operates." You know, as oil companies tend to do. I'm sure this game about a werewolf has a very deep story and will handle these issues with a lot of care.
Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood is a violent beat'em up based on the three forms that Cahal can transform into, allowing for different approaches and varied play styles.
Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Earthblood is the first action-RPG adapted from the eponymous horror setting. Mature, brutal, and complex, it invites players to embody Cahal throughout his quest of bloody redemption. He'll play an essential role in the great war led by the Garou against Endron, a global corporation whose activities are devastating the natural world.
- Homid Form: Used for stealthily neutralising guards and hacking into your enemies' defences.
- Lupus Form: Ideal for exploration and infiltration.
- Crinos Form: Unleash your rage and sow chaos in the enemy's ranks.
