Some unfortunate news to share with you today as Windjammers 2 has been delayed until 2021. The official Windjammers Twitter account made the announcement earlier today that the sequel you didn't know you wanted has been pushed back until some time next year.
The announcement says that they (the developers) took a look at some of the mixed opinions that users shared based off of the demo that was playable during the Steam Summer Games Festival in June. They saw some mixed opinions regardint the lack of rollback for the online mode. They said that they "had to do something because Windjammers 2 online mode is also meant to encourage the competitive community to get into the game."
To that end, the studio has started to fix and add features that they felt were necessary to address the biggest concerns of the community. As a result of these planned changes, the game had to be pushed back until some time in 2021.
The developers say that the decision was a "tough one" but they think that it will allow them to give fans the Windjammers 2 experience that they expect and deserve.
