Blizzard's eighth major expansion for their popular MMORPG, World of Warcraft, launched just a short time ago this evening. This expansion takes players to a "world beyond the mortal realm" known as the Shadowlands.
Players on both sides, Horde and Alliance, will "come face-to-face with the mysteries of death as they journey through the next world's wondrous realms." Those adventurers will get to team up with one of four ruling Covenants in Shadowlands. They will use powers earned in these Covenants to take on the Jailer, a "malevolent entity who holds dominion over the hopeless depths of the Maw."
Players’ resolve will be tested as they seek to reclaim lost souls from the Jailer’s watchful eye and venture into the labyrinthine corridors of Torghast, Tower of the Damned, where long-imprisoned horrors—and legendary rewards—await.
