Next-gen begins on November 10.
Xbox Series X and Series S

Microsoft has kicked down the doors of the next-gen waiting room and come out swinging. Yesterday, they revealed that the Xbox Series S would be released on November 10 for a price of just $299 (USD). Today, Microsoft reveals that the more powerful Xbox Series X will also launch on November 10 for a very affordable $499 (USD).

Pre-orders for both consoles will begin on September 22.

In addition to this, Microsoft announces that Xbox All Access will open to a further 12 countries. This will offer up a next-gen Xbox to you along with 24 months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate starting at $24.99 per month with no upfront costs. Not only will you have Game Pass games included, but EA Play subscription is also joining Xbox Game Pass and will be included at no additional cost to you.

While the Xbox Series S All Access will start at $24.99 per month, the Xbox Series X All Access starts at $34.99 per month for a period of 24 months. If you do the math, you probably realize that both will end up costing you a fair bit more than if you just bought the consoles up front. While true, you also have to keep in mind that these include the subscription to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate which itself includes EA Play plus the ability to play over 100 games from the cloud to your mobile devices.

We have a number of images of both consoles to share with you, though the focus is on the Series S. Check those out below if you desire.

We believe that access to the next generation should be available to everyone. And we know that price is an important factor for many of our fans. To complement Xbox Series X and invite more players into the next generation sooner, we built Xbox Series S—an all-digital, next-gen console designed to deliver everything that is core to next-generation gaming – faster load times, higher frame rates, and richer, more dynamic worlds – in our smallest, sleekest Xbox ever. Developing two consoles in parallel from the beginning enables us to deliver the most powerful console ever in Xbox Series X and make next-gen gaming available and affordable to more players on day one with Xbox Series S.
