Will at least match The Witcher 3's DLC content.
Cyberpunk 2077

CD Projekt Red revealed that they have plans to reveal the DLC for Cyberpunk 2077 prior to the game's release. This news comes courtesy of videogameschronicle.com who relayed the information that was revealed during Polish investor Q&A that took place on Thursday, March 9.

According to CD Projekt Red president Adam Kiciński, the studio plans on having at least as much DLC as what was released for The Witcher 3. Specifically, this includes both piecemeal DLC and larger story expansions. The studio says that they will announce all of this ahead of Cyberpunk 2077's September release. It also leaves the door wide open to the studio creating content that is larger in scope than what was released for The Witcher 3.

Keep in mind here that the story expansions for The Witcher 3, those being Blood and Wine and Hearts of Stone, are actually quite lengthy. Combined, they offer up about 25 hours of additional content if you only focus on the main story. When you add in the side content, the number of hours can easily surpass 50 hours of gameplay for those two expansions combined.

The smaller DLC packs for The Witcher 3 included a bunch of fresh content on their own. These smaller drops included things like new quests for the base game, new weapons, new cosmetics, new armor sets, and even a New Game+ mode. Even if CD Projekt Red simply matches the amount of content released for The Witcher 3 with Cyberpunk 2077, players will be in for a ton of additional content after Cyberpunk's release.

For those worried about how the current state of the world is impacting Cyberpunk 2077 development, you shouldn't worry too much. According to Kiciński, development has seen no major disruptions since they switched to working remotely about three weeks back. He says that he and the studio are still confident that they will hit their planned September release date. Keep in mind that Cyberpunk 2077 has already seen a significant delay that pushed the game from an April release to its current September date.
