The youngest of the Four Horseman is one of two playable characters.
Darksiders Genesis War

When Darksiders Genesis releases later this year on the PC, PS4, XB1, Switch, and Stadia players will get to co-op as either War or Strife. You will dish out a ton of damage in this isometric action-RPG no matter which character you choose to play as. However, the focus of today's news is only on War, the Rider of the Red Horse.

War is said to be both honorable and savage. He is the youngest of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. However, despite his young age, he still has plenty of battlefield experience. He has slain numerous enemies with his weapon, Chaoseater. By his side is Ruin, War's phantom steed.

War was wrongly framed by Abaddon for starting the Apocalypse too soon and was tossed into prison for over a hundred years. I bet that sucked.

This game takes place prior to the events of the first Darksiders game. War is more of a melee focused fighter thanks to extensive use of his gauntlet.
