Developer Airship Syndicate and THQ Nordic announced yesterday that a new Darksiders game is in the works. However, this probably isn't the action-adventure romp that you are hoping it is. Darksiders Genesis is a new game in the works for the PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Google Stadia.
Darksiders Genesis "kicks off a completely fresh direction for the Darksiders franchise." In Genesis, you become the fourth Horseman of the Apocalypse, Strife. The big change from previous titles is the fact that Darksiders Genesis is played from a top-down perspective.
Fans have come to know and expect the Darksiders games to be in a third-person, behind the shoulder perspective. If you're concerned about this change, we won't have long to find out what the initial impressions are for how it plays. The game will be playable to those going to E3 at the THQ Nordic booth #823 in the South Hall.
