Disintegration is an upcoming sci-fi shooter from V1 Interactive and Private Division. The game includes a "riveting" single-player campaign along with three distinct multiplayer modes. The game will be priced at $49.99 for the PC via Steam(!), PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The team at V1 Interactive is made up of some industry veterans that worked on games like Halo, Destiny, and SOCOM. They are led by Marcus Lehto, co-creator on Halo and a former creative director at Bungie.
I won't beat around the bush here: What I saw in the Gamescom premiere trailer reminded me a lot of Destiny. They even had a robot-like guy that reminded me a lot of Cayde-6.
In the game, you assume the role of Romer Shoal. You utilize a Gravcycle, a quad-engine hovering vehicle originally used for search and rescue missions. It has been transformed into an armored floating vehicle packed with powerful weapons. In addition to dishing out your own punishment, you command a small resistance force as you all try to save what remains of humanity.
Multiplayer is also included, promising three different game modes and a variety of maps for each mode. The multiplayer focuses on team-based battles, ground units that have unique abilities, and those Gravcycles with their own weapons. You can pick from a variety of Crews that all have their own unique loadouts and roles in combat.
Disintegration will be out in 2020 during Take-Two's FY 2021 (April 1, 2020 to March 31, 2021). That is to say, it'll be out April 1, 2020 or later.
