John Wick is getting a video game called John Wick Hex. It's a real-time strategy game. Yeah, mull that one over in your brain.
To be fair, it's a "fast-paced, action-oriented strategy game." I think that sounds better, right? It's being made by game director Mike Bithell, who previously brought you games like Volume and Thomas Was Alone, a game about geometric shapes.
This title will make you "think and strike like John Wick." It's obviously based off of the film series with the same title character. It's probably not going to 1:1 follow the events of John Wick: Chapter 3, which hits theaters on May 17, 2019, but it might contain some of the same story elements. John Wick Hex is in development for PC and Mac, exclusively on the Epic Games Store "at launch." Will it come to other platforms, like Steam, later on? At this point, I'm not even going to try to guess as to if that means it'll hit other stores at some point or not. The wording on these kinds of press releases is so intentionally vague that speculating just isn't even feasible.

Players must choose every action and attack they make while considering their immediate cost and consequences. Every move in John Wick Hex feels like a scene from the movies, and every fight contributes to your progress on the job and requires precise strategic thinking.
Perform well and progress in the main story mode (which features an original story created for the game) to unlock new weapons, suit options and locations. Each weapon changes up the tactics you’ll use and the manner in which you’ll play. Ammo is finite and realistically simulated, so time your reloads and make the most of the weapons you scavenge on the job.
