Conan Unconquered to Launch Earlier than Expected

    The rare anti-delay announcement.

It's not often we get to put up a story about how a game is going to launch earlier than expected, but that is precisely what is happening with Conan Unconquered. Funcom and developer Petroglyph announced today that the upcoming strategy title set in the Conan the Barbarian universe will now launch on May 29.

The previously planned release day was May 30.

Alright, so it's not a HUGE bump, but it's still something to celebrate if you've been looking forward to this! As a little reminder, Conan Unconquered has some Command...

Strategy Game 'John Wick Hex' Announced for Consoles and Epic Games Store

Because when I think of John Wick, I think real-time strategy.

John Wick is getting a video game called John Wick Hex. It's a real-time strategy game. Yeah, mull that one over in your brain.

To be fair, it's a "fast-paced, action-oriented strategy game." I think that sounds better, right? It's being made by game director Mike Bithell, who previously brought you games like Volume and Thomas Was Alone, a game about geometric shapes.

This title will make you "think and strike like John Wick." It's obviously based off of the film series with...

Funcom just released a new video today for Conan Unconquered, their upcoming RTS title set in the Conan the Barbarian universe. It's being developed by Petroglyph, a studio made up of some RTS veterans that worked on the Command & Conquer franchise. I mean, that sounds like a good thing already for fans of the genre.

The game can be played alone or in co-op from start to finish. This video shows us a bit of what that's like. Look for Conan Unconquered to be released on May 30 for the PC via Steam....

Civilization VI: Gathering Storm Now Available

Civilization VI, of the Sid Meier variety, has a new expansion out today. It's called Gathering Storm, which is a good thing because this expansion is mostly about a very active planet with many environmental challenges.

This expansion includes new Environmental Effects (they capitalized it this way), new Engineering Projects, and Consumable Resources for players to wrap their strategic minds around. This is being called the "largest ever" expansion released in the entire history of the Civilization franchise. Because in addition to the whole environmental stuff,...

Steel Shadows Out Now, Brings Space Combat to Steam

The headline reads as if there were no space combat games available on Steam before today. I mean, that's not true. What is true is that the space combat unique to Steel Shadows was never on Steam before today. You play as one Rogan Harker, a recently freed convict that is trying to start a new life. And wouldn't you know it, but there are a bunch of pirates, outlaws, and other baddies that don't want to let that happen.

Steel Shadows is available through Steam for $14.99 (USD).
