Assassin's Creed Unity Notre Dame

Ubisoft is giving away Assassin's Creed Unity for free via Uplay. This free game will be available only for a limited time, so be sure to grab it while you can. If you pick up the game prior to April 25 at 3AM (ET), then you will be able to keep Assassin's Creed Unity forever without having to pay a dime.

This move by Ubisoft is being done in response to the recent fire at the Notre-Dame de Paris. As Unity takes place in Paris, it is actually possible to go "visit" Notre Dame within the game. As I understand it, the in-game recreation of the building is actually very accurate to what the real-world version looked like prior to the fire destroying a significant portion of the roof, interior, and the main spire.

In addition to this, Ubisoft is donating €500,000 to help with the restoration of the historical landmark. They are suggesting and asking that all interested parties help with donations towards the restoration.

I'd also suggest perhaps helping with donations towards rebuilding three historically black churches that were maliciously burned down in the span of about a week from late March to early April. These churches were located in St. Landry Parish, roughly 30 miles north of Lafayette, Louisiana.
