Ubisoft Delays Pirate Themed 'Skull & Bones' Until Mid-2020

Open world naval pirate game to skip E3 2019.

Ubisoft delivered some sad news today. Their open world pirate themed naval combat game, Skull & Bones, has been delayed until at least mid-2020. The team working on the game even delivered word today that they would be skipping E3 2019.

Skull & Bones was initially revealed way back at E3 2017. More footage was revealed at E3 2018 and it was still looking pretty good. Last year came the first delay which pushed it into the 2019-2020 fiscal year. Today, that date has been pushed back yet again...

If you pick up the game prior to April 25 at 3AM (ET), then you will be able to keep Assassin's Creed Unity forever without having to pay a dime.

This move by Ubisoft is being done in response to the recent fire at the Notre-Dame de Paris. As Unity takes place in Paris, it is actually possible to go "visit" Notre Dame within the game. As I understand it, the in-game recreation of...

2014's Biggest Disappointments in the Gaming Industry - Part 1

As we near the end of another year it's time once again to collect our thoughts and think back on all the absolute garbage we have all had to endure from the gaming industry over these past 12 months. • Assassin's Creed Unity Patch 4 Released - 40GB on the Xbox One, Game is Still Broken

The Patch 4 update was released tonight for Assassin's Creed Unity. The patch is 6.5GB on the PlayStation 4 and reportedly says it's 40GB for the Xbox One version of the game. Why the size difference? No idea. Though it says 40GB some XB1 owners have said it only needs to download the "normal" 6.5GB as the other platforms. The PC patch? It's supposed to also be out, but it hasn't yet been released through Steam. It's alright though, because the game is apparently quite broken still. Namely, the biggest issue people are noticing is that NPC's are still ...
