    Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales
    Yes, Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales came out on GOG already, but it wasn't yet released on Steam. In fact, they never once mentioned that it would ever come to Steam and I even made a snarky comment about not holding your breath for it. And yet here we are. Today, Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales was released on Steam alongside a bunch of digital extras.
    Digital goodies included with every Steam purchase:

    • Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales official soundtrack, created by The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and GWENT: The Witcher Card Game composer trio Marcin Przybyłowicz, Mikolai Stroinski, and Piotr Adamczyk
    • Official Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales concept art, including a map of Lyria
    • Digital copy of GWENT: Art of The Witcher Card Game artbook by Dark Horse
    • Digital copy of The Witcher: Fox Children graphic novel by Dark Horse
    • Steam copy of The Witcher: Enhanced Edition Director’s Cut
    • The announcement is accompanied by a brand new trailer, which showcases some of the accolades Thronebreaker received so far.

    Just to round out this release, CD PROJEKT RED also released a new accolades trailer for the game.

        Huh... Not making this an exclusive game for their own storefront? Hmm... I guess CD Projekt isn't a big enough company to ignore Steam's customer base?

        I mean, seriously, like EA's games on Origin I was expecting this to be a GoG exclusive game for all the right reasons.

        Pre-orders have opened for Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales alongside the reveal of a new story teaser and the game's official website. It's not a new Witcher game per se, but it is a new adventure game set in the same universe as the mainline games. It is currently in development for the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

        The PC version will release on GOG.com on October 23, while the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions launch on December 4.

        Joining The Witcher 3 on Switch today is Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales. This single player RPG brings together "unique puzzles and turn-based battles." You will learn about Meve, a "war-veteran queen of two Northern Realms - Lyria and Rivia." As Meve, you will have to tackle a little thing called war and embark on a "dark journey of destruction and revenge."

        CD Projekt RED and GOG have released Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales today on the PC. It's exclusive to GOG, so you probably shouldn't hold out for a Steam version that doesn't exist.         Sales figures for Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales have been disappointing, at least to developer CD Projekt RED. It turns out that the GOG exclusivity didn't really work out all that well for them. That certainly seems to explain why we saw the game quickly appearing on Steam just a couple of weeks after its initial GOG release.

        This news came during CD Projekt RED's financial call yesterday. CEO Adam Kicinski provided the following.
