  • Bleach Characters Confirmed for Anime Mash-up Brawler Jump Force

    Jump Force
Jump Force sounds like an anime fan's wet dream come to video game form. It features a bunch of different franchises all coming together in one big action game. The latest reveal finds some Bleach characters joining the likes of Dragon Ball, One Piece, and Naruto in battle.
Today, we’re adding another level of action to JUMP FORCE’s character and franchise line-up with the announcement of Ichigo Kurosaki, Rukia Kuchiki, and Sosuke Aizen from Shonen Jump’s beloved BLEACH series. Both Ichigo and Rukia will be playable as the best-known Soul Reapers from the BLEACH series. However, the nefarious Sosuke Aizen will also be entering the JUMP FORCE world, so sparks will certainly fly when these three meet in battle.

We’re also revealing a new stage in which these explosive anime battles will take place. A new Hong Kong stage has been added to the roster of real-world locations in which these powerful characters may meet to do battle in JUMP FORCE. The Hong Kong stage blends characteristics from one of the world’s most modern and dynamic cities with elements from the One Piece world, creating a truly unique setting for battle.

In case you missed it, here is the E3 2018 trailer reveal for Jump Force. We also included all new screenshots that came out today alongside the Bleach announcement.

Good. Their omission from the teaser trailer confused me.

That said, I'm curious to see what moves they will have in the game, considering the manga displayed ONE new move in their new outfits/powers/swords. After that, they got one-shotted by the enemy. It was not time well spent telling a story in the final chapters.

In other words, the manga (as the animé for the remaining arcs has yet to be greenlit) has next to no reference material to show what Ichigo and Rukia can do with their matured powers. Rukia may be easier to represent, but I have no clue what Ichigo can do beyond what we already know from his one-trick pony energy blast and... Really fast running...
