We haven't heard too much about the upcoming Modus Games and Iron Galaxy title Extinction for quite some time. It was first revealed back in mid-2017 and had a pretty strong showing at E3 2017. Thankfully, the studios have just announced a release date for Extinction, that being April 10, along with some information about the standard and deluxe editions of the game.

First up, pre-orders are now available for Extinction. Now just hold on a second. You should probably at least see what the differences are between the two versions before you go and click "buy." The standard edition will go for the usual $59.99 (USD). The Deluxe Edition, which includes the "Days of Dolorum" season pass, will go for $69.99. If you don't want to be an early bird on the Season Pass, you can always pick it up later but it will cost you $14.99.

From the looks of things, you actually cannot order any of the digital versions yet. The Steam page doesn't seem to be up and both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 links on the purchase page both say "coming soon." What you can do is pre-order the physical versions at any of the retailers listed. Just something to keep in mind.

Also, this game isn't actually called "Dave Lang's Extinction." I feel like that needs to be pointed out because people get weird about that stuff. You know who you are.

We'll leave you with a gameplay trailer from October 2017.
