This announcement seems to have come out of nowhere but Rez Infinite is out today on both Steam and the Oculus Rift.
    About
Experience 360 degrees of mind-blowing synesthesia as you blast your way through waves of enemies and massive transforming bosses, with your every move triggering colors and sounds that sync and blend to the beat of the legendary techno soundtrack of Rez. Whether you choose to play in standard desktop mode or opt for the full immersion of playing in VR, Rez Infinite must be seen—and heard—to be believed.

Rez Infinite is the ultimate version of the beloved psychedelic rail-shooter adventure Rez, originally released in 2001 by Sega. Now, over 15 years later, fully remastered in HD/4K (PS4 and PS4 Pro/PC) with optional VR support (PS VR, Oculus Rift, HTC Vive) and an all-new level “Area X,” the latest form of Rez is infinitely improved and evolved for a new generation of hardware and its gamers.

Whether you choose to play in standard desktop mode or opt for the full immersion of playing in VR, Rez Infinite must be seen—and heard—to be believed.

    Key Features
    • The Ultimate Package – Fully remastered classic Rez levels Areas 1 through 5, and an all-new free-flying experience in Area X.

    • Highest Res Rez – Unrestricted resolution and up to double the texture resolution of any previous version of Rez makes for razor-sharp visuals.

    • Enhanced Soundscapes – Full 3D audio for Rez‘s incredible music and sound effects.

    • VR Optional – The entire game is playable on your desktop, or in full VR with your HTC Vive or Oculus Rift headset and accompanying controllers (standard gamepads, Vive Controllers, and Oculus Remote and Touch controllers are all supported).

    • View Mode - Take in the environment, or capture great moments by pressing “V” on keyboard. On desktop mode, use the left joystick, or hold left click and drag the mouse to look around. In VR, move your head to look around. Exit view mode by pressing V.

Rez Infinite was released exclusively on the PlayStation VR in October of 2016. It has been largely praised by both fans and critics alike.

Wished there was more advertising for this. I would not know this game is out for PC if I didn't read it here.

Well, it was literally a surprise launch. There was maybe a brief window where it was just a rumor but that lasted all of half a day before it was announced and released.

Oculus Announces 'Rift S' and 'Quest' VR Headsets Releasing May 21 at $400 Each
    by Shawn Zipay

Oculus held their F8 event today during which they revealed two new and very different VR headsets. In comparison to the also just announced $1,000 Valve Index, these two Oculus headsets start at $400 (or $399 if you want to be specific), and that's the price for the full package on both of these.

A major advantage with these two headsets, when compared to the Index, is the fact that they utilize inside-out tracking. That means they make use of headset mounted cameras and sensors...

Oculus Rift S VR Headset Announced - More of a Lateral Move Than an Upgrade
    by Shawn Zipay

Today at GDC, Facebook announced a new version of their Oculus Rift headset that they're simply calling the Oculus Rift S. They announced a $399 (USD) price point for the device that will start shipping later this Spring.

On paper, the headset sounds like a decent device. It features an LCD 2560x1440 panel (1280x1440 per eye), better pixel density compared to the Rift, updated lenses, an 80Hz refresh rate, updated Oculus Touch controllers (functionally the same as the old ones),...

HTC Vive Priced at $800, Still a Better Value than Oculus Rift
    by Shawn Zipay
Ahead of the official price announcement comes the leak that the virtual reality device, the HTC Vive, will run you $799 (USD) when it's released in early April (2016). That puts the price of the device at a cool $200 more than its nearest competition, the Oculus Rift. And cue the outrage! The difference here is that the SteamVR powered HTC Vive comes with two "Lighthouse" base stations that use lasers to more accurately track movement throughout a room. The bundle also includes two actu...
