Nintendo announced that the Super NES Classic Edition will launch on September 29 for $79.99 (USD). It will come packed with 21 games that I'm sure will be expanded once those super 1337 h4x0rz get their hands on them.

Here is a look at the games that will be included with the system.
• Contra III: The Alien Wars
• Donkey Kong Country
• EarthBound
• Final Fantasy III
• F-Zero
• Kirby Super Star
• Kirby’s Dream Course
• The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
• Mega Man X
• Secret of Mana
• Star Fox
• Star Fox 2
• Street Fighter II Turbo: Hyper Fighting
• Super Castlevania IV
• Super Ghouls ’n Ghosts
• Super Mario Kart
• Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars
• Super Mario World
• Super Metroid
• Super Punch-Out!!
• Yoshi’s Island

Star Fox 2? Yes, Star Fox 2. For those wondering why that's a big deal, it's because Star Fox 2 was never released.

Now, what about the supply for the Super NES Classic Edition? Nintendo states that they will "produce significantly more units" for the Super NES Classic Edition than they did for the NES Classic Edition. Nintendo also plans to ship the small console through the end of the year after its September 29 release date. Given how Nintendo constantly has a hardware shortage on most of their releases, I am expecting to see the same supply shortage befall this release. Prove me wrong, Nintendo.
