IO Interactive is Now an Indie Studio; Retains Hitman IP

IO Interactive announced today that they are a fully independent studio. They also announced that they do indeed retain the Hitman IP.

  Uh oh... How much working capital do they have? Independent means creative freedom sure, but it also means deadlines are set in stone, or you'll be bankrupt! Writing your own paychecks is terrifying!

  A game studio which has always been on the fringe of the budget to quality equation is now on a shoestring budget, i love most of the games they've made but it wouldn't take much for those games to have been terrible.
  
  The next Hitman game is probably a rogue-like.

  And they'll probably run a crowdfunding campaign in hopes of absorbing SOME of the costs.
