If you purchase Halo: The Master Chief Collection, be prepared to have a massive 20GB update waiting for you on release day. This news comes from Videogamer.com's David Scammell on Twitter.
There is some good news, however. According to 343's Dan Ayoub, if you pre-order and pre-load the Master Chief Collection digitally, your pre-load will contain that 20GB "content update" already. That is assuming you get the download finished prior to release.
So, why is there a 20GB day one update? Well, apparently it's due to a limitation in the size of the Blu-ray discs they're using. They are only able to fit 45GB on one disc and instead of simply adding in a second disc, they are forcing a 20GB day one update for everyone.
