Sony just revealed that they have sold over 10 million PlayStation 4 consoles to consumers. This news comes courtesy of the PlayStation gamescom 2014 press conference.
That doesn't mean Sony has merely "shipped" 10 million units, that means that they have actually sold 10 million units to consumers since its launch.
