Microsoft has revealed that the Xbox One has shipped over 5 million units to retailers since its launch. That again is a figure that has shipped to retailers but not necessarily sold to consumers.
There is quite a big difference between those two things.
However, beyond that, Microsoft has also noted that March was a strong month for the Xbox One. They sold 311,000 units through the month, while the Xbox 360 sold 111,000 units.
They also note that, on average, there are 2.9 games sold per Xbox One console. They also note that the Xbox 360 sold 2.7 million games in March and the Xbox One sold 1.4 million games.
