• Counter-Strike Update for December 9 Still Didn't Nerf the R8 Revolver

Those looking for a nerf or adjustment for the recently added R8 Revolver to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive can probably just go back to your corners to continue moping.

Tonight's update actually introduces an interesting new issue with the gun while fixing a few other issues with the game. The gun actually now costs just $700. However, the price for the gun in game still shows $850. Even more interesting is the fact that you need to have $850 on hand to purchase the gun, but upon purchasing it, it only takes away $700. Oh gosh, surely this won't enrage people even more!

I'm sure everything will work out just fine for the R8 in the next dozen or so updates to the game. Of course, who knows what's going to happen with the nerfs made to the other weapons. It seems as though those changes are simply too much for some people to handle!

Changelog for CS:GO for December 9, 2015
MISC
– Fixed exploits with the R8 Revolver, including being able to fire during freezetime or defusal, and the ability to hold the primary hammer back indefinitely.
– Fixed a disappearing smoke exploit.
– Fixed a timeouts-related exploit.
– Fixed competitive UI flickering at the end of rounds.
– Fixed a regression in logaddress_add to allow DNS hostname resolve.
– Fixed a rare game server crash after replay.
– R8 Revolver now correctly shows up in weapon_fire events.
– Added map mode to game stats integration.

Better luck next time, R8 haters.

At first this gun was like "oh yeah cool! so much better than the deagle!" and that was with bots. Then I played a few matches last night and it was like every hallway had an AWPer... So yeah maybe a little overpowered. I mean if a person had it and they just weren't good at aiming to begin with you could really have some fun, but that stray shot through the smoke really sucks sometimes.
