Valve just rolled out a fresh update for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive this evening that makes some adjustments to three maps. These maps are none other than Vertigo, Nuke, and Abbey. The biggest changes tonight hit Vertigo and Abbey, with Nuke receiving only little bitty fix.
As always, the update will be automatically applied via Steam....

Valve just rolled out one of the biggest updates for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. It may not be the largest in terms of file size, but in terms of scope? Yeah, it's pretty big for a game like Counter-Strike. "What could it possibly be," you wonder?
It's battle royale.
Of course it's battle royale. This mode has been rumored for a while and now it's finally here. The new mode is called "Danger Zone" and along with this new mode comes some additional surprising... -

in ValveValve Discusses Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Negev Changes
In a blog posting that went up last night, Valve started to detail some of the changes and thoughts they have in mind for the Negev in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Some of these changes are already being tested as part of a beta update for CS:GO but they say that the changes, barring any issues, will go live soon. in ValveCS:GO Update for January 10: Panorama UI for CS:GO is... Still Not Here
The moment you're all waiting for is finally here. The moment where you are again disappointed at the lack of the Panorama UI for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Oh well, you should be used to this kind of disappointment by now. At least now you know how your parents feel.
However, today's update instead ends the Holiday Cheer event, and provides a couple of minor changes.

in ValveNew Dust 2 Now Available in CS:GO Beta - Get Your First Look Here
Here is your first good look at the changes that have been made to Dust 2 for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. I'm sure this is probably the first of many, many, many, many, many, many, many times you will see the updated Dust 2. See, because the joke is Dust 2 is played a lot.
Valve put up a rather lovely guide that both shows and explains the changes they made to several key areas of Dust 2. For example, here is just a bit on the overall art improvement that they made. ... -

in ValveCS:GO Dust 2 Getting a Makeover Soon
The Counter-Strike: Global Offensive developer Twitter just sent out word (two hours ago) that Dust 2 is getting a lovely makeover soon. The tweet states that the updated version of the map will be released for testing via the next beta depot for CS:GO. While I'll try to keep an eye out for it, chances are the diehard fans out there will know about it long before I ever get news up about it anyway. From the looks of the included image, Valve seems to be returning to the old school 4:3 a... -
