Ubisoft Closes Studio and Lays Off 185 Employees Across Europe
One studio is fully closed while others are being downsized.
Ubisoft just shut down its studio in Leamington, UK and laid off several additional employees across three other studios. In a statement issued to Eurogamer, Ubisoft says that all of Leamington's 50-person team has been let go. In addition to the closure of that studio, Ubisoft is laying off employees across their Dusseldorf, Stockholm, and Newcastle studios.
In total, about 185 employees are being laid off....
