2K just announced PGA Tour 2K25 and with it comes a variety of gameplay enhancements and additions. New EvoSwing mechanics add in new shot types, ball flights, roll physics, and various visual improvements. This new release will also include a more customizable MyCareer mode and creation tools.
This year, PGA Tour 2K25 will come in three different flavors. Those who pick up the Standard Edition will get to play starting on February 28, 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The Deluxe Edition and Legend Edition will offer access to players starting on February 21st and will also come with a few additional in-game perks. More details on these versions can be found below.
PGA Tour 2K25 will offer 27 licensed courses at launch along with a roster of 11 male and female pros. Some of those pro players include Tiger Woods, Max Homa, Matt Fitzpatrick, Justin Thomas, Lydia Ko, Brooke Henderson, and more.
The Players Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass returns in 2K25. New courses for this year's release include the 2025 US Open at Oakmont Country Club, the 2025 PGA Championship at Quail Hollow Club, The 153rd Open at Royal Portrush Golf Club, and more. 2K says that The Old Course at St. Andrews will arrive in Season 2 "shortly after launch."
The Topgolf mode makes a return this year. There is also an updated Course Designer that offers new tools, surfaces, and items that should let players more easily make their dream courses. You can still share your created courses online with the world.
The MyPlayer system gives players more control over upgrades and personalization. There is a new Attribute Point system, upgraded Skill Trees, and a new Equipment Progression system. There are still plenty of apparel options from licensed brands to outfit your created character with. Your character's personality will also shine through more in 2K25 via the new customization options, interviews, and the ability to play in major tournaments for the first time.
PGA Tour 2K25 also offers cross-platform Societies so that you can your friends can play Stroke Play, Match Play, or Scramble regardless of what platform you're all on. There are also new daily and weekly Ranked Tour tournaments.
