Call of Duty's New Anti-cheat has Apparently Leaked Online Just One Day After Being Announced

It's already being reverse engineered by cheat makers.

Over the span of just three days, we had Activision issuing a threat against cheaters, the reveal of Ricochet, the new kernel-level anti-cheat coming to Call of Duty, and now today that anti-cheat has apparently already been leaked. Not only that, but Ricochet is apparently already being reverse engineered by "pay to cheat" (P2C) developers.

Ricochet as it is known was announced just yesterday for Call of...

Activision Blizzard Lawsuits Hit a Major Snag

There may be a conflict of interests that are muddying the waters.

Stick with me on this, because this is probably going to be a little confusing. At the end of September 2021, Activision Blizzard settled a lawsuit brought on by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) for the lowly amount of $18 million (USD). This lawsuit would be used to "compensate and make amends" for employees impacted by the rampant sexual discrimination and harassment that has been...

Major Twitch Data Breach Leaves All Accounts Vulnerable, Exposes Streamer Revenues

Over 125GB of Twitch data has been leaked online.

An anonymous hacker has just leaked a 125GB torrent of hacked and stolen Twitch data on Wednesday, October 6. This is allegedly just the first part of a larger data breach. According to a report from VGC, the leak was done in an attempt to "foster more disruption and competition in the online video streaming space" since Twitch's "community is a disgusting toxic cesspool."

According to reports, the leaked...

Battlefield 2042 Beta Begins October 6

It's coming.

DICE and EA finally lifted the lid on information concerning the upcoming open beta for Battlefield 2042. It has been a long time coming and it's great to finally get some news about this. I know the fanbase has been getting a little, let's just say antsy, with each day that passed by where we did not hear anything.

In the latest Battlefield Briefing, the team announced that the Beta for Battlefield 2042 will run from October 6 through October 9. Specifically,...

SEC Now Investigating Activision Blizzard

Bobby Kotick has been subpoenaed.

The United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has launched an investigation into Activision Blizzard. The government agency will be looking into how Activision Blizzard has handled, or mishandled, the numerous cases of sexual harassment, toxic workplace environments, abuse, and discrimination.

This comes after the state of California sued Activision Blizzard in July over the aforementioned allegations, and then later expanded...

The new plan is kicking off in late October.

During the latest Nintendo Direct, Nintendo gave the good news that they are bringing Nintendo 64 and Genesis titles to Nintendo Switch Online. Unfortunately, these games will only be offered if you decide you want to pay more for Nintendo's online service, at a price point that has yet to be revealed.

As it stands right now, Nintendo Switch Online can be yours for an entire year at just about $20 (USD), which really isn't too...

    Bayonetta 3 First Gameplay Reveal

Rumors of her demise were greatly exaggerated.

During last week's new Nintendo Direct, PlatinumGames showed off the first new trailer for Bayonetta 3 in years. It seems that in all this time, PlatinumGames has been quietly working on the long-awaited sequel to the much loved action series.

The new trailer actually showed off the first ever look at gameplay...

    New 3D Kirby Game Announced

    Super Kirby 64.

During the latest Nintendo Direct, Nintendo announced a brand-spanking-new 3D Kirby game. It's called Kirby and the Forgotten Land and it will be released on the Nintendo Switch at some point during Spring 2022.

Kirby still has the ability to absorb and use other abilities from foes and powerups. He can also jump around and do plenty of platforming. So yeah, it's like the 2D Kirby games but with an added dimension. This isn't rocket science here.

It's been 30 years since the North American release of the original ActRaiser for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES for you youngsters). The original game was a solid 2D action platforming affair that also included a fair bit of town-building simulation.

Last night, Square Enix announced Actraiser Renaissance, a remastered release of the classic game that will be coming to the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4,...

Miyamoto Announces Star-Filled Cast for Mario Movie

This all feels like a weird fever dream.

When you think of Mario's voice, the first person that comes to mind is none other than the legendary Charles Martinet. He's been the iconic voice of Mario for decades now. Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto is having none of that! None!

In the future, when you think of Mario's voice, you're going to think of Chris Pratt. Yes, Chris Pratt. Luigi? Charlie Day. Bowser? Jack Black.

What? What is this weird timeline we're living...

Respawn Says Titanfall 3 is Not in Development

They're just too busy with other games.

In a recent livestream, Respawn's Jason Garza says that the studio isn't working on Titanfall 3, nor are they working on any new Titanfall 2 content. Garza flat out says that "there's nothing there. We've got too many other games in the works right now."

He did at least later clarify that the team at Respawn are still investigating hacking and other vulnerabilities in Titanfall 2.

    It seems that Respawn's primary...

This confirmation comes from TechRadar, whom had reached out to Ubisoft after a 3D team lead programmer told Wccftech that ray tracing was a PC-only feature. • What is Your Favorite Candy?
    by Shawn Zipay
A little something different for Spooktober.

It's October and you know what that means: Scary costumes, frights, chills, creepy games, spooky movies, and yes, lots of candy.

Despite this being a gaming focused site, let's mix up this month's poll, shall we? Instead of doing the obvious question of asking what your favorite scary game is, let's find out what your favorite Halloween candy might be. Now, there are a LOT of options out there. I'm just going to list some of...
