Activision and Infinity Ward announced the beta test dates for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. The early beta for those who pre-purchase will take place on August 21 - 25 for PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, and PC. An open beta then kicks off on August 28, at which time all of the previous platforms plus those on the Switch 2 will be able to participate. The open beta will then end on September 1 for all platforms.
A fresh Call of Duty Next presentation will air on August 21. The beta is expected to kick off right at the end of that presentation from what I understand. This new showcase is set to feature live gameplay along with "an in-depth briefing on the lineup of content coming to Modern Warfare 4's multiplayer," along with various developer insights and some "new reveals ahead of the beta."
Chances are the Call of Duty Next presentation will also explain what content will be included in the beta. Right now, none of the studios involved in Modern Warfare 4 have said which weapons, Operators, maps, or modes beta players will get their hands on. We were only given a somewhat rough overview of what the beta will offer.
Get ready to drop into multiple Multiplayer maps and modes, choosing from a wide selection of brand-new Operators, including all the Vault Edition Operators for players who pre-order the Vault Edition, and unlocking as many as 19 different weapons before deploying into everything from small-scale 3v3 skirmishes to massive tactical battles featuring tanks and more. Test your mettle across new and returning modes, from Search & Destroy to the brand-new Kill Block, plus the Training Mobility Course.
Experience fluid movement and best-in-class ballistics, building your own loadouts with the optional help of Gunny, leveling up as you unlock a wide variety of weapons, Tacticals, Lethals, Field Upgrades, Perks, and Killstreaks.
