MLB The Show is No Longer a PlayStation Exclusive

Soon, MLB The Show will be available on more than just Sony's platforms.

It has just been announced that starting as soon as 2021's release, MLB The Show will no longer be a PlayStation platform exclusive. Though other platforms have not yet been specified, both the official Nintendo and Xbox Twitter accounts were quick to comment on this new development.

For the past dozen or so years, MLB The Show has been developed by San Diego Studio, a subsidiary of Sony Interactive Entertainment. Sony has also had the exclusive rights to develop and publish...

The new studio is called Cloud Chamber and will have not one but two different locations for their operations. The team will operate both out of 2K's San Francisco Bay Area HQ in Novato, CA in addition to a new location in Montreal, Quebec. This marks the first Canadian office for 2K.

The other big surprise today is the fact that Cloud Chamber has...

DICE Nerfed the TTK Yet Again in Battlefield V

Almost one year later and DICE is repeating the same exact mistakes.

Back on December 12, 2018, DICE decided to adjust the TTK (Time To Kill) for weapons in Battlefield V. A lot of the changes made weapons a fair bit less effective at actually taking out enemies. DICE said that they found that their "wider player base was dying too fast." That is to say, the shorter TTK wasn't too friendly for new players. To say that the core Battlefield community hated the changes is probably a massive understatement.

So, DICE tried to find a compromise...

Resident Evil 3 Remake Cover Art Leaked

Features a look at Jill, Carlos, and Nemesis.

We seem to have yet another leak on our hands today. This time it's for the still not officially announced remake of Resident Evil 3. It seems as though the cover art for this totally not real game was found on the servers for the PlayStation Store.

A games tracker feature on Gamstat quickly embeded the images from the PlayStation Store and thus made them visible publicly. Since then the images were pulled from being publicly accessible on the PlayStation Store. It's a good thing Gematsu saved the...

  • EA is Changing the Name of Their Latest Battlefield V Elite Soldier

EA is Changing the Name of Their Latest Battlefield V Elite Soldier

It turns out the name belonged to a real-world resistance fighter, not a Nazi.

One of the new Elite soldiers in Battlefield V is getting a name change from EA and DICE. The new Elite, Wilhelm Franke, is the current name of one of the pre-built soldiers players can purchase for real money to use in multiplayer.

This character in Battlefield V is a German that fights for the Axis, aka "the baddies." Or to say it another way: He's a Nazi. In real life, Wilhelm Franke was the name of an anti-fascist resistance fighter during WWII. He fought...

SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated Announced

Published from the studio that hosted an AMA on a site banned for child exploitation.

A remake of the old SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom was announced today by THQ Nordic. The publisher said that the remake is called SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated and it is being developed by Purple Lamp Studios.

There isn't too much to go on right now from today's announcement. I assume it's just the old game but given a fresh coat of paint. The original was apparently enjoyed by a fair number of people for some...

The Surge 2 Release Date Reveal and New Screenshots

This is about the video game, not the drink.

Deck13 announced the release date that they and publisher Focus Home Interactive are planning for The Surge 2. That date is September 24, 2019. That date marks the worldwide release of the action-RPG sequel for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the PC.

The Surge 2 is a follow-up to the rather excellent The Surge, which came out in 2017. Much like the first game, The Surge 2 is full of action, exploration, limb cutting, upgrades, and more limb cutting. It's similar in execution to a Souls-like title...

  • World War Z 'The Undead Sea' Content Update is Out Now

World War Z 'The Undead Sea' Content Update is Out Now

I wonder if the rhyme was intentional.

The first major content update for World War Z was released today for all platforms (PS4, XB1, and PC). This content is called "The Undead Sea" and it introduces a new mission set in Tokyo aboard a ferry filled with plenty of the living dead. You will fight through open decks and tight cabins in what they're calling the "most intense challenge yet."

This update also introduces a new zombie type. This one will spit toxin at you and will come back to life "if not dispatched appropriately."...

  • Microsoft Announces Xbox Branded Body Wash from Makers of Axe

Microsoft Announces Xbox Branded Body Wash from Makers of Axe

    Smell like a Gamer.

Microsoft announced a new partnership today with the makers of the Axe body spray, Unilever. Together, these two companies will bring to the world Xbox branded body spray, shower gel, and deodorant. It's green. It's very green. The actual lineup of products is called "Xbox Lynx" and, unfortunately for all of you already throwing money at your screens, these products will be exclusive to Australia.

If Lynx sounds familiar to you, that would be because it's the name given to Axe in markets that aren't the US. Microsoft...
