  • CloverPit Delayed Due to Silksong

Plus two other Indies announce delays due to Silksong.

The anticipated "roguelike nightmare slot machine game" called CloverPit, has been delayed. The delay pushes the game's release to September 26, 2025, and was done to avoid being consumed by the September 4th release of Hollow Knight: Silksong.

CloverPit was originally expected to release on September 3rd, but the teams at Panik Arcade and Future Friends Games made the choice to delay after Silksong's release date was announced.

“We like a gamble, but this one is too risky lol,” the dev team said. “We want to give ourselves and our fans some time to enjoy Silksong, so we’re launching a few weeks later and will use the time to polish CloverPit even further”

CloverPit is a demonic lovechild of Balatro and Buckshot Roulette. The horror game by dev duo Panik Arcade and publisher Future Friends Games (The Cabin Factory) is highly anticipated, goes viral regularly and already topped the Steam demo charts! So far, CloverPit has made it into the top 90 most-wishlisted games on Steam, gathering 400k+ wishlists and 700k demo downloads. Major influencers like Northernlion loved the demo saying, “I guess it’s not even out yet, but still, the demo is better than 99% of the games I’ve ever played.” Hell yeah!
A couple of other Indie studios made the choice to delay their games outside of the Silksong release window. Those games include Talegames' adventure-RPG Faeland and Aeterna Lucis, an upcoming Metroidvania action-adventure title from Aeternum Game Studios.

Panik Arcade panicking at Silksong arriving like Thanos. Also the third sentence has a (understandably easy to make) typo. I don't know why they use a "k" (isn't that a depreciated variant of the word?).

K-16 Thanks for the typo spot. I will say though that the press release spelled it with a "c" in the first instance of it showing. Later in the press release, they used a "k" in the name.

That's hilarious! I wonder if that's Future Friends Games caught in the easy to make typo as well. I mean, panik is a depreciated word so I don't know why that was the name of choice. In any case, you are more than vindicated and I appreciate the clarification/amusing tidbit. Thanks for editing it too.
