Acclaim says that there is big news coming soon and urges fans to "stay tuned." Their press release and accompanying video are quite light on information.
They say that people should "get ready for the next era of gaming" with "new worlds, bold ideas, and the next wave of unforgettable games."
We won't have too long to wait to see what this return of Acclaim entails. The video promises to deliver some new news next week.
Acclaim filed for bankruptcy in late 2004. Most of the properties owned by Acclaim were subsequently auctioned off. In hits heyday, Acclaim was the publisher behind Mortal Kombat, Bust-a-Move from Taito, numerous WWF games, and NBA Jam.
