Last week during gamescom, Ubisoft announced some future plans for The Division 2 as it enters into its 10th year of somehow still kicking. The new DLC is called Survivors and it will "bring an updated take on the survival extraction experience to The Division 2."
Development on this new content is still in a very early stage. Magnus Jansén is Survivors' creative director and he's been with the franchise since the early days of the first title.
Outside of this being a survival extraction piece of content, very little was shared. A tentative release date and additional details were not yet shared. All we have are a few pieces of concept art.
During gamescom, Ubisoft also announced that the next season of The Division 2, The Pact, is out on September 9th.
The Pact focuses on the SHD fight against enemy factions. True Sons, Outcasts and Hyenas are forging a pact and planning something huge, but can the Division put the pieces together in time to stop it?
Retaliation is a new open-world activity that launches with the release of The Pact. Retaliation brings additions to Control Points mechanics, as well as new ways of acquiring Exotic loot and routes of progression. The third season to release in 2025 is called Mutiny. More details on that will be announced soon.
Those with mobile devices can look forward to a free-to-play RPG shooter MMO, The Division Resurgence. Players return to the streets of Manhattan in a game set "several months after the conclusion of The Division 1." This story bridges the gap between the two main Division titles.
