By now, you already know that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered is included with the more expensive bundles of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. You have seen the short snippets of the Remaster and you're probably thinking to yourself, "wow, that doesn't look all that great compared to the original!" You're wrong. No, shut up, you're wrong.

Check out these screenshots of Modern Warfare Remastered and then check out a comparison video that shows off the differences between the original game and the Remastered version.

I completely agree. At the time, the multiplayer of COD 4 was absolutely awesome. I loved playing on the bigger maps and having killstreaks being called in. The progression was absolutely fun and adictive and it really felt like being in a war.
COD now just feels like an arena shooter where everyone, independently of teams, just tries to get the best K/D ratio.

I have read that for now, this remaster can't be bought separately and will only be included in that special version of Infinite Warfare. Smart move from Activision right? And I honestly wouldnt see the remastered version being sold for 20$, if the original MW version is still at that price.

I also feel like this is an insult to COD 4. The greatest and probably one of the few last honorable COD's. is now being thrown to dirt as a poorly remastered edition, when it could have been so much more?
They could have just properly remastered the whole game, but they can't really do that, can they? I mean, now they allow people to directly see how poorly the visuals in their games have actually evolved, by creating an oficial and direct comparison of how COD 4 looked 10 years ago and how it looks now. Barely any different.

From what I have read you have to buy COD:IW to get COD:MW. You can't buy it separate.

Isn't... isn't that exactly what it's supposed to be?
It's a remaster, a repackaging of the product in new wrapping paper, it looks better.

Does it really look better? How are so many people so easily fooled into believing that by what they have shown so far? Does it really seem to be changing all that much to be worth to be branded as a remaster? 10 years ago is a long time, but the series didn't really change that much and they are simply applying some of those few graphical changes they made to the engine during these 10 years to one of the most loved CODs of all time, and using it as a reason to why people should get Infinite Warfare. I mean, we all know how Activision loves recycling, and so far this looks more like a HUE change than an actual remaster.
Why not make an actual, proper full and worthy remastered version and sell it seperately? Even I would be interested in that. Right now it just feels like a poor exploit of what people want. Doesnt COD 4 deserve better than this?

You're talking about a Remake, jimykx. This is a Remaster. Very few people really want a Remake of Modern Warfare. Remakes tend to change the formula of what people know and love. People don't want that for classics.

As a Remaster, this is quite nice given the visual upgrade.
